Biography

Greetings! I am Seyyed Ali Mousavi Gavgani, a passionate researcher and PhD candidate in the Civil Engineering Department at Kharazmi University of Tehran, Iran, specializing in vibration control of structures with a focus on offshore structures.

I was born in 1995 in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan, Iran. My academic journey began at University of Maragheh, where I pursued my vocational course in Civil Engineering, graduating in 2017. Subsequently, I earned my Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from University of Maragheh in 2020. Through the exceptional talents program, I embarked on a specialized doctoral program in structural engineering in 2021.

My research revolves around vibration control in structures, particularly offshore structures, employing various techniques, including the innovative semi-active method. I have garnered acclaim for my work and have authored numerous articles and books, the details of which can be found in this site.

In tandem with my academic pursuits, I have accumulated practical experience in the design and implementation of civil engineering projects through various construction companies.

Boasting a four out of four GPA, I have consistently been recognized as a top student during both my Master’s and PhD studies. I currently serve as a referee for some international journals, contributing to the scholarly peer-review process. Additionally, I am honored to have been selected by the Iranian National Elite Foundation.

Upon completing my doctoral studies, my commitment to advancing knowledge in vibration control for structures remains unwavering. I envision contributing to a more secure and peaceful life for people by mitigating the fears associated with structural vibrations. My future endeavors include pursuing a postdoctoral course and collaborating with global experts in structural control science to further expand my expertise. Beyond my academic pursuits, I find joy in sharing my knowledge and experience. I believe in the transformative power of education and research and strive to make a positive impact on the world.
